·      Air Transport Association
The premier trade group of the principal U.S. airlines. ATA airline members and their affiliates transport more than 90% of U.S. airline passenger and cargo traffic.
·      Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA)
EAA is a growing and diverse organization of members with a wide range of aviation interests and backgrounds. EAA was founded in 1953 by a group of individuals, who were interested in building their own airplanes. Through the decades, the organization expanded its mission to include antiques, classics, warbirds, aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicopters and contemporary manufactured aircraft.
EAA is the only association that offers the fun and camaraderie of sharing your passion for participating in the flying, building, and restoring of recreational aircraft with the most passionate community of aviation enthusiasts.
·      Flight Safety Foundation (FSA)
An independent, non-profit, international organization engaged in research, auditing, education, advocacy and publishing to improve aviation safety. The Foundation’s mission is to pursue the continuous improvement of global aviation safety and the prevention of accidents. The Foundation, with members from more than 142 nations around the globe, transcends local, regional or national political interests.
·      General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA)
A national trade association representing 55 manufacturers of fixed-wing aircraft, engines, avionics, and components. In addition to building nearly all the general aviation aircraft flying in the United States today, GAMA member companies also operate aircraft fleets, airport fixed-based operations, pilot schools, and training facilities across the nation.
General aviation aircraft range from two-seat training aircraft to 19-seat passenger business jets and regional airlines. The GAMA represents the interests of its members before the United States Congress, the Department of Transportation, the Federal Aviation Administration, and other federal and state government agencies directly concerned with the air transportation system.

·      International Air Transport Association (IATA)
An international trade body representing some 240 airlines comprising 94% of scheduled international air traffic. IATA’s aim is to help airlines help themselves by simplifying processes and increasing passenger convenience while reducing costs and improving efficiency. Safety is IATA’s number one priority, and IATA’s goal is to continually improve safety standards, notably through IATA’s Operational Safety Audit (IOSA). ·      International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)
The constitution of ICAO is the Convention on International Civil Aviation, drawn up by a conference in Chicago in November and December 1944, and to which each ICAO Contracting State is a party. ICAO works in close co-operation with other members of the United Nations family such as the World Meteorological Organization, the International Telecommunication Union, the Universal Postal Union, the World Health Organization and the International Maritime Organization.
Non-governmental organizations which also participate in ICAO's work include the International Air Transport Association, the Airports Council International, the International Federation of Air Line Pilots' Associations, and the International Council of Aircraft Owner and Pilot Associations.
·      Society of Experimental Test Pilots (SETP)
The Society of Experimental Test Pilots is an international organization that seeks to promote air safety and contributes to aeronautical advancement by promoting sound aeronautical design and development; interchanging ideas, thoughts and suggestions of the members, assisting in the professional development of experimental pilots, and providing scholarships and aid to members and the families of deceased members.
·      Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)

It is the statutory body formed under the Aircraft (Amendment) Bill, 2020. This directorate investigates aviation accidents and incidents. It is headquartered along Sri Aurobindo Marg, opposite Safdarjung Airport, in New Delhi. The Government of India is planning to replace the organisation with a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), modelled on the lines of the American Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

·      The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)
          It is the statutory corporation which oversees and regulates all aspects of civil  aviation in  the United Kingdom. Its areas of responsibility include:
Supervising the issuing of pilots' licences, testing of equipment, calibrating of navaids, and many other inspections (Civil Aviation Flying Unit).
Managing the regulation of security standards, including vetting of all personnel in the aviation industry (Directorate of Aviation Security).
Overseeing the national protection scheme for customers abroad in the event of a travel company failure (Air Travel Organisers' Licensing – ATOL).
The CAA is a public corporation of the Department for Transport, liaising with the government via the Standards Group of the Cabinet Office.

·      The Federal Aviation Administration(FAA)
is a governmental body of the United States with powers to regulate all aspects of civil aviation in that nation as well as over its surrounding international waters. Its powers include the construction and operation of airports, air traffic management, the certification of personnel and aircraft, and the protection of U.S. assets during the launch or re-entry of commercial space vehicles. Powers over neighbouring international waters were delegated to the FAA by authority of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
Created in August 1958, the FAA replaced the former Civil Aeronautics Administration(CAA) and later became an agency within the U.S. Department of Transportation.
