Odisha is situated at the eastern end of India and Bhubaneswar happens to be its capital which is one of the smart cities of India. It's also known as the "Temple City" because it has a huge number of ancient temples that reflects Indian history. Historical Places:-

Dhauli Giri- The place where emperor Ashoka transformed into dharmashoka from chandashoka and started promoting Budhism.
Khandagiri and Udaygiri Caves- These twin heels are standing adjacent to each other. The caves are  carved  during the 1st century BCE.

Spiritual Places:-

Lingraj temple- Tallest temple of Odisha dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is near the large lake called “Bindu Sarovar”. This lake is known to have a drop of water from each holly river of India.
Mukteswar temple- Known as the gem of Odisha architecture. Mukteswara means “Lord of Freedom”
Ananta vasudev temple- This 13th century temple is also near Bindu Sarovar lake and dedicated to Lord Krishna.
Rajarani temple- Known as love temple because it has some sensuous cravings of couples.
Ram mandir- Red and golden colour of this beautiful temple is outstanding and definitely a point of attraction.

Nandan kanan zoological park, Botanical park, Nicco park, Ocean world water park, Blue splash water park, Deras dam, Science park and Pathani samant planetarium are some of the places where you can spend a good time with your friend and family.

To taste the authentic odia thaali step in to the restaurant called “Odisha Hotel”. They serve the food in traditional odia way using kansa utensils. Dahibara aloodum is a very popular steet food available till 1 PM as it is taken in breakfast only. It is available in every streets of Bhubaneswar. Odisha has its own unique way to serve Golgappa and Chaat. Golgappa is known as Gupchup in Odisha. Although these two are available all over the city but having them at Rupali square has a different charm.
Pahala is a heaven for people sweet tooth. Visit there to find the exclusive desserts of Odisha like Chhenapoda, Rasogola, Chhena gaja, Chenna jhili, Chhena mudki, Chhena jalebi, Rasabali, Kheersagar.
Chakuli pithaa,Suji kakra pithaa, Aarisa pithaa, Manda Pithaa, Chitau pithaa, Poda pithaa, Chandrakanta pithaa, Enduri pithaa and Dudura pithaa are some of the mouth watering traditional odia dish you should give a try. They are available in any sweet shop of Bhubaneswar.
Bela pana and Dahi pana are the odia beverages you should definitely taste. Mahuli(fruit wine), Handia(rice beer) and Taadi(palm wine) are some alcoholic drink which are prepared by the local tribals of Odisha.
